Emily has 12 years of experience. Her career begun as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer with Newcrest Mining at Telfer Mine WA followed by a year at Cadia Valley Operations where she became Development Geotechnical Engineer. She is currently Lead Engineer – Geomechanics and Rock Engineering with BHP at Olympic Dam.

Andrew has 10 years of site-based and consulting experience, covering a range of commodities, including base metals, gold, and iron. He has worked on a wide range of projects across Australia and internationally.

Lianne is a Geotechnical Engineer and Engineering Geologist. Throughout her 25 plus year career she has worked as a consultant and operations engineer for major mining and civil projects.

Tony has worked for 40 years in operational, consulting, research and academic roles in the mining (primarily open cut), civil and petroleum industries. He is the Principal of Rocktest, which he founded in the mid-1990s to provide Rock Engineering services to these industries. He is a past Chair of the EAGCG and past Vice President (Australasia) of the International Society for Rock Mechanics.

Carol is an experienced underground Geotechnical Engineer with a demonstrated history of working with both horizontal and vertical ore bodies at varying depths and associated geotechnical challenges.

Sumukha is a geotechnical engineer with experience encompassing underground and open pit mining environments. His experience extends across both study and operational roles.

Ben is a geotechnical engineer specialising in assisting mining and exploration companies.  Ben is back on the EAGCG committee for a second go, after a long break and is excited to be assisting the Group and the mining geotechnical community.

Peter is a rock mechanics engineer with 20 years’ experience at various operational and corporate roles across Australia.  He is currentlyHead of Geotechnical for GroundProbe based in Brisbane supporting their customers globally.
